Installed in Central Ohio, ours run $79,595 to $137,825. A finished backyard costs more.
That range is our four EvoPools models in the ground, plumbed, wired, backfilled, full of water and permitted, from the smallest Maldives to the largest Sacred. Concrete, fence, landscaping and options like a heater are on top, and they are the part that varies most from one backyard to the next.
Three numbers wearing the same name
When people say what a fiberglass pool costs, they mean one of three things, and the gap between them is enormous.
The shell price. The fiberglass shell itself, sometimes with a basic equipment package, delivered. It is the smallest number you will see and the least useful, because a shell sitting on a truck is not a pool.
The installed price. The shell in the ground and working: excavation, gravel base, plumbing, pump and filter, electrical and bonding, structural backfill, water, startup and permits. This is the number we publish, and the only one that means you can swim.
The finished backyard. Everything above plus concrete or pavers around the pool, a fence, landscaping, and whatever you add: heater, automatic cover, lights, automation. This is the number most families actually spend, and it is the one that depends most on you.
Why the number online is lower than your quote
Cost guides have to say something about every pool in every state, so they average. An average across small and large pools, vinyl and concrete and fiberglass, and every labour market in the country is a reasonable number for an article and a poor one for your backyard. Some figures are a shell price or a partial scope and never say so.
None of that is a reason to ignore them. It is a reason to ask one question before comparing any number to a quote: is this the shell, the installed pool, or the finished backyard? Then compare like with like.
What Ohio adds to the bill
A few things about building here move the price, or at least decide where it lands inside a range.
The ground. Central Ohio sits on glacial till, sand and gravel, and clay, and clay holds water. Wet ground, a high water table after a wet spring, rock or old fill all make a dig harder. Nobody can see that before digging, which is why we settle it by written change order, with the price agreed before we touch it.
Access. The one people underestimate. A gate an excavator can drive through and a yard we have to work around, or crane over the house, are different jobs. Tight side yards, overhead lines and soft ground all live here.
The season. The water here is honestly swimmable from about Memorial Day to Labor Day. A heater adds sixty or more swimmable days, and the cheapest kind costs about four dollars a day to run in the shoulder season. That is the option most Ohio families end up adding, so put it in your budget early.
When you sign. Not the price, which does not change with the month, but the calendar. Fall is the driest digging of the year in Central Ohio, and a fall pool is ready on the first warm day of May.
Our installed prices, published
Each figure is the smallest size of that model on a standard site. Larger sizes and harder access move it, and you get your real number in writing on the first visit, firm for thirty days.
The Maldives from $79,595 · The Everest from $89,595 · el Capitan from $95,595 · The Sacred, spa moulded into the shell, from $119,595. The full breakdown, line by line, is on the cost page.
What our number leaves out, on purpose
Concrete, coping, patio, decking and hardscaping. Fence and gates. Landscaping, grass repair and retaining walls. Heater, automatic safety cover, lighting and automation. A fiberglass pool does not need any of it to hold water and be swum in, so we leave it out rather than bury it in a bigger headline number. Anything you add is quoted flat, as its own line, before you sign.
The cost after the cost
Day one price is half the comparison. A vinyl liner usually costs least to install and then needs replacing roughly every seven to ten years. Concrete is the most customisable and usually the most expensive to build and keep, with resurfacing roughly every ten to fifteen. Fiberglass tends to land between them on day one and lowest over time: nothing to replace on schedule, a non-porous gelcoat that uses less chemistry, and a shell the manufacturer warrants structurally for as long as you own it. Those intervals are industry norms, and your water chemistry and use move them.
How to compare two quotes fairly
Put them side by side and check the same lines on each: the shell and its size, excavation and spoil removal, plumbing, equipment, electrical, backfill, water and startup, permits, and what is explicitly excluded. If one quote is lower because it leaves out a line the other includes, it is not cheaper. It is smaller.
If you have a written quote from another licensed Central Ohio installer for a comparable pool and scope, bring it to us before you sign with anyone. If it qualifies, we come in under it by at least $500 or 1%, whichever is greater. The conditions are published in full on our guarantees page.
