The four pools we install in New Albany
The Maldives, from $79,595. Soft curves and a splash pad, and the lowest price we publish.
The Everest, from $89,595. Straight lines and an open lane, end to end.
el Capitan, from $95,595. A full width tanning ledge and dual stair entry.
The Sacred, from $119,595. A spa moulded into the shell, a side entry ledge and a full length lane.
Each price is the pool in the ground, plumbed, wired, backfilled, full of water and running, with permits and inspections included. Concrete, fence and landscaping are not in it, and anything you add is quoted as its own line. The full breakdown is on the cost page.
Same price in New Albany as anywhere else
We do not price by postcode. A Maldives in New Albany costs what a Maldives costs in Grove City. What moves your number is the pool, its size, how we get equipment into your yard and what turns out to be underground, and all of that is settled in writing before you sign.
What to sort out before you sign
Your HOA, if you have one. Plenty of neighbourhoods have a homeowners association with its own approval process. Get that approval before you sign with anyone. Every model's dimensions are published on its pool page, which is usually what the conversation starts with.
Access. Walk the route from the street to where the pool will go. Gate width, fences, slopes, trees and overhead lines decide how the dig happens, and they are the thing people most often underestimate.
The ground. Central Ohio clay holds water, and the water table rises after a wet spring. That is one of the reasons we like digging in the fall, when the ground is at its driest, and it is why rock, groundwater or old fill are handled by written change order with the price agreed before we touch it.
Permits, fence and placement in New Albany
New Albany wants a Certificate of Appropriateness, the city's design approval, before it issues any permit. Pools and fences count as minor changes, so city staff sign off on them without a board hearing. Then we pull the permit with the Community Development Department, which checks planning, engineering and building code in one plan review, and we schedule the inspections. The fees are in our price.
Where it can go. Not in the front yard, and at least 15 feet from every property line. That 15 feet covers the walks, paving and pool equipment too, which is stricter than the house setback on many lots. The pool itself can cover no more than 10% of the lot. We measure both on the first visit.
The fence. The pool, or the whole property, has to be enclosed by a fence at least 48 inches high that a child cannot get through or under, with gates that close and latch on their own and a lock. A safety cover on its own does not replace the fence without a variance. Fences can be up to 6 feet tall behind the building setback line and need their own permit, and your subdivision's zoning text or HOA may also set the style.
