The fine print, in plain English

Three promises.Every condition.

A guarantee with no conditions is not a guarantee, it is a slogan. Here is exactly what we commit to, exactly what pauses the clock, and exactly what lands in your pocket if we miss. Same language that goes in your agreement. Nothing here appears for the first time after you sign.

00

When the clock starts

Both the 30 day promise and the 96 hour promise run off one date, so we define it once. Your start date is the latest of these six things.

  • You sign the agreement
  • Your deposit clears
  • Your permit is issued
  • Utility locates are complete and marked in your yard
  • You approve the model, size, color and the stake we set in your yard, in writing
  • We confirm we can physically get equipment to the dig area

We push all six of those as hard as we can, because our clock does not start until they are done. That is deliberate. It keeps us motivated and it keeps the promise honest.

01

Bring us a written quote. We beat it.

Show us a competing quote before you sign with anyone. If it qualifies, we come in under the total by at least $500 or 1%, whichever is greater, on matching scope.

A quote qualifies if it is

  • Written, itemized, and on the competitor's letterhead or from their business email
  • Dated within the last 30 days and still open for you to accept
  • From an installer licensed and insured to do this work in Central Ohio
  • For a new fiberglass shell of comparable size, shape and manufacturer class
  • For comparable scope: excavation, base, shell set, plumbing, structural backfill, basic filter equipment, electrical hookup, water, startup, permits. Concrete and hardscaping are excluded from our price, so a competing quote that includes them is compared on the pool work only
  • A real offer the other company is ready and able to perform
  • Shown to us before you sign an agreement with us or with them

A quote does not qualify if it is

  • Verbal, or a number somebody said on the phone
  • Expired, withdrawn, or one the competitor will not confirm when we call
  • For a used, blemished, discontinued or auction shell
  • An owner assist, partial install or shell only deal
  • Missing pieces we include, such as permits, electrical, backfill or startup
  • Employee, family, trade or barter pricing
  • From an unlicensed or uninsured party

If a quote does not match ours line for line, we do not just say no. Within two business days we send you a written comparison showing which lines differ, what each one costs, and our best price against it. You decide from there.

If we fail to honor this

You cancel and we refund your deposit in full within 10 business days. No restocking fee, no administrative charge, no argument.

02

Installed within 30 days of signing.

Within 30 calendar days of your start date, your pool is excavated, set, plumbed, backfilled and holding water. The clock pauses for the excused delays below, and only for those.

If we miss it

We credit $250 off your final balance for every calendar day past day 30 that is not an excused delay, up to $2,500. It comes off your invoice automatically. You do not have to ask and you do not have to argue.

03

In and out in 96 hours.

96 hours from the first bucket of dirt to water at operating level, not counting hours the job is stopped for an excused delay. That covers the pool going in the ground and filling. It does not cover concrete, coping, patio, decking, fence, landscaping or grass repair. None of that is in our price and none of it is needed for the pool to hold water and be swum in.

If we miss it

We credit $250 off your final balance for every 24 hours past 96, up to $1,000. Same deal. It comes off the invoice.

04

What pauses the clock

These stop the count and restart it when they clear. The list is short on purpose. If it is not here, it does not pause anything, and that includes us being busy.

Weather and ground

  • Rain, snow, freeze or standing water that makes excavation or crane work unsafe, or would tear up your yard
  • Frozen or saturated ground that will not carry equipment

What is under your yard that nobody could see

  • Rock, ledge or shale that needs a hammer or blasting
  • Groundwater or a water table high enough to require dewatering
  • Buried debris, old fill, foundations, tanks, wells, septic tanks or leach fields
  • Utility, gas, irrigation, invisible fence or electric lines that were unmarked or marked wrong

Getting to the backyard

  • A gate, path or overhead clearance smaller than what we measured and confirmed
  • Ground too soft to carry the excavator or the crane on the day we arrive
  • A neighbor pulling permission for access we were relying on

The yard has to be ours for four days

  • Dogs or other animals loose in the work area, or waste not picked up
  • Anyone entering the excavation or the crane swing radius
  • Vehicles, trampolines, play sets or furniture still in the way

We are not being difficult about the dog. A loose animal near an open hole and a crane is how somebody gets hurt. We stop, and we restart the moment the yard is clear.

Decisions and approvals

  • Any change you make to model, size, color or placement after you approve the stake
  • Any approval we need from you that we do not get back within 24 hours
  • Permit, inspection, HOA or utility locate scheduling that is not in our hands

Supply and force majeure

  • Manufacturer or freight delay on your shell or equipment that we did not cause
  • Acts of God, storm, flood, fire, earthquake, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strike or labor action, epidemic or public health order, government action, embargo, tariff, material or fuel shortage, utility or power failure, and anything else outside our reasonable control
05

How a pause actually works

This is the part that keeps both of us honest. We do not get to quietly claim a delay and reset our own clock.

  • We tell you within 24 hours, in writing, with photos and the reason
  • We give you the new date in that same message
  • The clock restarts the moment the condition clears, and we show you when that was
  • If fixing it costs money, such as hammering rock or hauling in fill, you get a written change order with the price before we touch it, and you decide
  • If you disagree with a pause, either of us can call for a walkthrough within two business days and we settle it standing in the yard

If we do not send you that notice within 24 hours, the delay does not count and the clock keeps running against us.

06

What we need from you

Six things. We confirm every one of them at the measure visit, in writing, so nothing surprises either side.

  • A clear path to the dig area at least 10 ft wide with 14 ft overhead, and the gate open on work days
  • Animals inside or off the property, and the yard picked up, on every work day
  • Vehicles and anything movable out of the work area and the crane path
  • Anything buried disclosed up front: septic, well, leach field, irrigation, invisible fence, propane, downspout drains, easements
  • HOA approval in hand before we start
  • A working outdoor spigot and outlet, and someone reachable within 24 hours to approve things

If one of these is not there on a work day, that day is an excused delay. We will still work if we safely can, and we would rather solve it with a phone call than a clause.

07

Limits, so both sides know where the line is

  • The credits above are the full remedy for a missed timeline. They are not a partial refund of the pool.
  • We are not responsible for consequential costs, such as a party you scheduled, a rental you booked or time off work.
  • Total credits under all promises are capped at $3,500.
  • Tell us in writing within 30 days of your pool being filled if you believe a credit is owed.
  • Nothing here takes away any right you have under Ohio law, including the Consumer Sales Practices Act and any right to cancel a contract signed in your home.

We would rather hand you a credit than an excuse. If we miss, we miss, and we pay it.

Still here

Good. Now let us price it.

Read all of that and still want a pool. That is the right reaction. We come out, measure, and hand you a number before we leave.
